Cheesy Chicken and Broccoli Casserole Perfect for Weeknight Dinner

Ingredients
  • 16 ounces Mueller’s® Elbows
  • 16 ounces Frozen broccoli
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup All-purpose flour
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 3 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
  • Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
  1. First head over to Kroger where you will find a large assortment of Mueller’s® pasta and any other ingredients you will need.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Cook pasta according to package directions; after 6 minutes of boiling, add broccoli to pasta and continue cooking per package directions; drain and set aside.
  4. Return hot, empty pan to medium heat and add butter. Once butter has melted, whisk in flour until blended well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add milk and cook, whisking constantly, until mixture simmers.
  6. Remove from heat, and stir in 2½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  7. Add chicken pasta, and broccoli, and stir gently to mix.
  8. Place in baking dish. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until internal temperature is 165 degrees F.
  9. Sprinkle with remaining ½ cup cheese and bake, uncovered, for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  10. Now serve and enjoy!!
